NAPIT Team Completes 30-mile walk for The Electrical Industries Charity

NAPIT staff and partners from NAPIT Drive and NAPIT Insurance completed a 30 mile walk along the Jurassic Coast on 25th May.

The circular walk, which started and finished at Worth Matravers, took the team 13 hours to complete and is part of NAPIT’s efforts to raise money for The Electrical Industries Charity (EIC).

The team started with a steady 12 miles passing Corfe Castle, following this with a ramble along the beach at Studland Bay. After another 8 miles, the group reached Swanage for a short break before taking on the final and most difficult stretch of 10 miles.

Heading up the cliffs along the coastline of Dulston and Anvil point, the team faced challenging moments tackling thick sea-mist and unstable terrain along the South West Coastal path.

Successfully finishing the challenge at 7pm, the group made their way one-by-one back into camp showcasing an impressive range of blisters and insect bites.

Mike Andrews, NAPIT Group Chief Executive, said "The walk was beautiful, although it became very tough at points - particularly as the sun was shining high for the most part. I am so impressed we completed it within the 13 hours we had set ourselves and I’m proud of all of the team for pushing on, even with the amount of pain some were in due to blisters. It was very much a team effort and we spurred each other on to complete the challenge in an effort to reach our fundraising target of £5,000 for The Electrical Industries Charity".
